PINEALOMA: PRINCIPAIS MANIFESTAÇÕES CLÍNICAS E PRINCIPAIS ACHADOS EM TC E RM

Resumo


Os tumores da região pineal são geralmente raros, porém há uma incidência maior na faixa etária infantil. Há uma subdivisão dos tumores, podendo ser provenientes das células embrionárias, das células parenquimatosas ou dos tecidos de suporte. O pinealoma é um tipo de tumor proveniente das células parenquimatosas, que surge especificamente dos pineócitos e representa cerca de 15 a 30% de todas as massas da região pineal. Diante disso, cabe observar que sua histologia está diretamente ligada a sua influência e agressividade. O seu diagnóstico pode ser realizado por exames de imagens, como TC e RM.
